Considering going solar in Nevada?

Nevada's abundant sunshine makes it an ideal place to capture the sun’s energy with a home solar system. Solar installations allow you to generate your own electricity, which can reduce your reliance on utility companies like NV Energy.

During the day, your solar panels will produce power that can be used immediately by your home's appliances. Any excess energy your home solar system produces can be sent back to the grid for credits or stored in a solar battery. Policies for net metering in Nevada change from time to time, so meeting with a Sunrun expert can help you decide if storing or exporting solar energy is the right financial decision for you and your home.

However, adding a solar battery has more advantages than one. This stored energy can be used at night when your system isn't producing power, allowing you to maximize the solar energy your system is producing. Additionally, during a grid outage you can keep your home's essential appliances running and recharge your batteries during the day using the electricity from your solar panels. By using your own stored power, you can maximize your energy independence and better manage your electricity costs.
